MONTANA KUSH NAMED MONTANA’S MOST AWARDED CANNABIS BRAND ACROSS TWO MAJOR CONSUMER-JUDGED COMPETITIONS IN 2026

Locally owned Montana company earns eight awards across Best in Grass and the High Times Cannabis Cup, with wins spanning flower, concentrates, pre-rolls and solventless rosin vapes

BOZEMAN, Mont. — Montana Kush has emerged as Montana’s most awarded cannabis brand across two of the state’s major consumer-judged cannabis competitions in 2026, earning a combined eight awards at Best in Grass Montana and the High Times Cannabis Cup Montana.

The locally owned and operated company earned six awards at Best in Grass Montana and two at the High Times Cannabis Cup Montana, including two first-place finishes and recognition across flower, concentrates, pre-rolls and solventless rosin vapes.

For Montana Kush, the breadth of the wins is as meaningful as the total. The eight awards recognize products produced across multiple parts of the company, from cultivation and genetics to extraction and manufacturing.

Together, the results give Montana Kush eight podium finishes in 2026 — two first-place, four second-place and two third-place awards.

The results were particularly strong for Montana Kush’s cultivation program. The company placed in all three major flower categories at Best in Grass, with Lemon Head taking first place in Sativa Flower, Face Off taking second in Hybrid Flower and Motorbreath taking third in Indica Flower.

The recognition extended well beyond flower. Sour Tangie Live Resin Badder, Paradise Sunset and Papaya Melonz Rosin Bar each earned Best in Grass honors, while Member Berry and The Fizz added two more awards at the High Times Cannabis Cup Montana.

“Eight awards across this many different products and categories is something our entire team can be proud of,” said Bryce Hulet, president and co-owner of Montana Kush. “This isn’t one product or one department carrying the brand. These awards represent our cultivation team, extraction team, production team and everyone behind the scenes who puts in the work every day. Having that work recognized by Montana consumers means a lot to us.”

ROOTED IN MONTANA SINCE 2009

The recognition comes more than 15 years after Montana Kush got its start during the early days of Montana’s medical cannabis industry.

Locally owned and operated since 2009, Montana Kush opened its first brick-and-mortar location in Helena in 2017. Today, the company cultivates its flower in the Gallatin Valley and operates six licensed dispensaries across Montana.

Some of the genetics grown by Montana Kush today have been with the company since its early years, connecting more than a decade and a half of Montana cannabis history with the products being recognized today.

“We’ve watched Montana cannabis change tremendously since we started,” said Chad Chambers, co-owner of Montana Kush. “We’ve grown with the industry, but we’ve never wanted to lose what got us here in the first place — growing quality cannabis, making products we’re proud to put our name on and keeping our company rooted in Montana.”

For a company that began in 2009, becoming the most awarded brand across two major Montana consumer-judged competitions represents an important milestone — but also reinforces the approach Montana Kush has followed from the beginning: keep it local, focus on quality and let the products speak for themselves.
