Montana-owned cannabis company takes first place for Member Berry concentrate and second place for The Fizz solventless vape
BOZEMAN, MT. — Montana Kush brought home two awards from the 2026 High Times Cannabis Cup Montana, adding a new milestone to a Montana cannabis story that began more than 15 years ago.
Montana Kush earned First Place in Solvent Concentrates for Member Berry and Second Place in Solventless Vape Pens & Cartridges for The Fizz.
For a company that has been locally owned and operated since 2009, the wins mean a little more than another trophy on the shelf.
“We’ve been growing cannabis in Montana and serving Montana customers since the early days of the medical program,” said Chad Chambers, co-owner of Montana Kush. “A lot has changed since 2009, but our focus really hasn’t. We want to grow great cannabis, make products we’re proud to put our name on, and keep doing it right here at home.”
Montana Kush opened its first brick-and-mortar medical dispensary location in Helena in 2017 and has grown alongside Montana’s cannabis industry. Today, the company cultivates its flower in the Gallatin Valley and serves customers through six licensed dispensaries across the state.
Some of the genetics grown by Montana Kush today have been with the company since those early years — a connection between where the company started and where it is today.
The Cannabis Cup recognition is especially meaningful because the competition puts products directly in the hands of consumers for judging.
“We’re proud of the awards, but we’re even more proud that they came from products our team makes here in Montana,” said Bryce Hulet, president and co-owner of Montana Kush. “This is home for us. It always has been.”
